It’s already Sunday; these weekends sure do fly by! Yesterday, I finished up (I hope) the remainder of that project for class…just have to finalize it later on today. This morning started, as usual, with a small snack: a handful of muesli today with a splash of milk and coffee. Then I set up my mat for some dorm room yoga! After yesterday’s run and the craziness that ensued, I needed some rest and relaxtion (both for my feet and my mind). I did a ten-minute abs/core circuit to warm up and then popped in a Denise Austin yoga video for a 50 minute yoga session; I almost fell asleep during the relaxtion part–makes me want to start meditating, felt so good!
After yoga, I made myself some blueberry/banana pancakes. I made them with some cooked steel cut oats, but accidentally (and absentmindedly) double the oats and not the rest of the recipe I wanted to test. So, needless to say, my pancakes looked more like caramelized oatmeal…tasty, but certainly not pretty! I also had a video chat with my Mom, as per Sunday usual; pancakes are our Sunday tradition so you will see them pop up quite often around here.
Time to catch up on my Google Reader, recipe writing, and possibly school work before heading out for a meeting. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Question:
- Do you practice/like yoga? If so, what is/are your favorite pose(s)?
I really like downward facing dog, pigeon, and thread-the-needle; sometimes all you need is a good stretch to melt away stress and tension.
