Today wasn’t too eventful; mostly just tying up loose ends and making sure everything will go smoothly over the weekend (lots of schoolwork <—eeww). I thankfully slept through the night and woke up on time, then I made myself a quick breakfast before tidying up my desk/room and then heading over to the gym.
Breakfast was a weird, but tasty concoction…
I guess I could call it “Huevos Rancheros Toast.” I toasted a piece of Ezekiel bread and topped it with a sliced hard boiled egg and some salsa.
At the gym, I warmed up with a 3 mile run at an easy pace on the treadmill, and then completed a circuit-based chest & back routine. I also did some assisted pullups which are always fun After a 10 minute stretch session, I headed back to the dorm to shower and eat some post-workout protein (shoutout to my brother, Ryan, who calls is P.P.).
I cooked up some egg whites with some leftover edamame, artichoke hearts, and spinach. Another bizarre, but tasty combination. I must be in an odd culinary mood today.
Then I went to get my groceries for the week, and upon returning, immediately make two new recipes to try out during the week (one less thing to do tomorrow–woo!). Next came perhaps the highlight of my day, not really, but I ended up locked out of my room. Normally, I can feel my card key in my pocket when I leave, but I forgot that I had a rewards card in there and must have thought it was the key. I am just so thankful that my building has it’s own super and staff, so I didn’t have to walk 8 blocks in 35 degree (F) temperatures in a T-shirt to get a temporary key. After a short wait, I was able to get back inside.
So much excitment! Then I had to do school-related stuff (and should probably still be doing it now). Tomorrow morning I am going for my weekly long run; I’ll let you know how that goes! See ya then!
